These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thePDFClaws website and desktop application (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and use PDFClaws for personal and commercial purposes, free of charge. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the software without our written permission.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. In particular:

  • The Decrypt PDF tool is intended for documents you own or are authorized to access. You must not use it to circumvent protection on files you have no rights to.
  • You must not use the Service to infringe intellectual property rights or to process content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.

3. Your documents

PDFClaws processes files locally on your device. You retain all rights to your documents. Because files never reach our servers, you are solely responsible for keeping backups of your originals.

4. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We work hard to make PDFClaws reliable, but we do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data or lost profits — arising from your use of the Service. Always keep a copy of important original files before processing them.

6. Third-party links

Our website and blog may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
