Need a chart out of a report, a flyer page for Instagram, or a thumbnail of a document's first page? PDFClaws's PDF to Image converter renders every page of your PDF as a pixel-perfect image on your own PC.

Export to JPG for small file sizes, or PNG for lossless quality with optional transparency. Choose any resolution from screen-sharp 72 DPI all the way to print-quality 600 DPI — something most online converters lock behind a paywall.

Convert the whole document or just the pages you need, and process entire folders of PDFs in one go. Every file stays on your machine, so sensitive pages are never uploaded to anyone's server.

FAQ

PDF to Image FAQ

Should I choose JPG or PNG?

JPG produces smaller files and is best for photos, web use, and sharing. PNG is lossless and larger, best for pages with text, line art, or when you plan to edit the image afterwards.

What DPI should I use?

96–150 DPI is ideal for screens and social media. Use 300 DPI for printing, and 600 DPI for archiving or OCR workflows where every detail matters.

Can I convert only one page of a PDF to an image?

Yes. Enter a custom page range (for example "5" or "2–4") and only those pages will be exported.

Does the converter work with scanned PDFs?

Absolutely. Scanned pages are already images inside the PDF; PDFClaws re-renders them at your chosen resolution without quality loss beyond your DPI setting.
